Auckland Garden Services Supports Harbour Hospice at Diwali Extravaganza 2025

Organised by the Rotary Club of Orewa-Millwater, the evening brought together the tastes, sights, and sounds of India in a vibrant celebration of community, culture, and generosity.

The Diwali Extravaganza 2025 was more than just an event — it was an experience that lit up the room with colour, energy, and goodwill. Guests were treated to an evening of spectacular Indian entertainment, delicious traditional cuisine, and dazzling performances that reflected the joy and unity of Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
But beyond the music and the food, the evening carried a deeper purpose: to raise vital funds for Harbour Hospice, an organisation that provides specialist palliative care and compassionate support to individuals and families across the North Shore, Hibiscus Coast, and Warkworth/Wellsford communities.
By the end of the night, the event had achieved something truly remarkable — raising an incredible $17,000 for Harbour Hospice. Every dollar will go towards helping provide medical care, emotional support, and guidance to those in need, ensuring that people facing life-limiting illnesses can live their lives with comfort and dignity.
Supporting a Cause Close to Our Hearts
As a local business, Auckland Garden Services has always felt a strong connection to our community. We see first-hand the difference local charities make in people’s lives, and Harbour Hospice is one that truly stands out.
Harbour Hospice receives only 50% of its funding from the Government, meaning the rest must come from the generosity and support of local individuals, businesses, and organisations. Events like the Diwali Extravaganza are essential to keeping their services running, and we’re honoured to play even a small role in helping make that happen.
Our involvement in this event isn’t just about sponsorship — it’s about standing alongside the people who dedicate their time, energy, and hearts to making our community a better place.
